Mehboob, a lyrics writer beyond limitation …i won’t repeat what’s already written in Wikipedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehboob_Kotwal), but one thing, which is closest to heart, is the song “Kabhi Neem Neem, Bahi Shahed Shahed” written by Mehboob Saheb. It was the first time we met at AMStudios in Chennai with Mani Ratnam and A.R.Rahman. I did not knew at that time that my future will be written by this meeting of the three Biggies.
It was nice having him at lunch at my place..

In 1986, Mehboob met music composer Ismail Darbar who used to play the violin in film orchestras in those days. And it was Darbar who taught him the difference between poetry and film lyrics.[1] Darbar introduced Mehboob to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and he began his song writing career with Varma’s 1992 film Drohi whose music was composed by R. D. Burman. He then worked with A.R.Rahman on Varma’s Rangeela. Rahman liked his work and introduced him to Mani Ratnam and Mehboob penned the lyrics for the Hindi (dubbed) version of Bombay.[2] Mehboob went on to work with Rahman on films such as Thakshak, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna and Dil Hi Dil Mein. He has also written the lyrics for Rahman’s non-film album Maa Tujhe Salaam as well as Ratnam’s Yuva.
Mehboob has collaborated with Ismail Darbar on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 1999 film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, and on Shakti – The Power in 2002. He has also written the lyrics for Kamaal Khan’s Hindi pop album “Kal Raat” (2003) and KK’s albums – Pal and Humsafar.

It was a loooong way for Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota to be awarded by the Government as Padma Shri. It makes sense..when i heard this news, i was very happy, because he deserves it”. I am not judging any awards or any awardee, but in Anup Jalota’s case, he supposed to be awarded long before and i think he is not the only artist India, who made their country proud. It means a lot for and artists in their career. Anupji never waited for an Government recognition, but moved forward through out the world with his Bhajans and not only the listeners enjoyed this, but he himself always enjoys his performance each and very time. I am very proud to have him as a friends since i came in this Industry. He always supported me with his words” Zaroor hoga.. kyun nahi hoga…ham hain na- It will happen,..why it it will not happen,.. i’m here to support you” And i traveled with him during his programs and he made me sing some bhajans. I gave me a great deal of pleasure and relieve. Yusuf Bhai gave a bash on this occasion at his mud bungalow and all musicial friends enjoyed the evening till late late night. Ketan Mehta, Chandas Das, Bhupinder Singh & Mitali, Richa Sharma, Jaspinder Nirula, Puja Mishra, Ram Shankar, Sauraf Daftari, Narain Agarwal, Arun Govil and many more… Congratualtions Anupji,.. i hope the Padma Bhushan party will be very soon…

Madhushree

Music has always been the backbone of the Indian Film Industry, but these days we cannot find that, because film music is changing rapidly. I don,t want to judge anybody, but it is time for every artist to find their own way to stardom. Indian singers has been for decades as playback singers, where their songs were promoted through the film promotion with actors acting and dancing on their songs. The tendons is very much changed along with physical sales are dropping drastically, we singers have to take matters in our own hand to make our songs become a hit. For this we will still utilize the film platform along with the electronic and print media with getting connected online.
I have decided to sell my music online through my own site/www.madhushree.com along with all other music portals like I tunes, amazone.com etc…

The tiltle of the track was so attarctive, that really forgot to have tea during the dubbing of the song. Raju Singh, the arranger, of this track in his studio ” Joshua”, was also joking at the same time with the title.
Chai ke Bahane is a very good composition and the lyrics is fantastic and very catchy. I just loved singing this song. I wish all the best for Ranjit kapoorji for his directorial debut.

Gulshanji was also a very good poet, i only had the opportunity to meet him in a party. For me he is still alive through his songs,” Hamein aur jeene ki chahat na hoti, Agar tumna hote, agar tum na hote”. I believe, that writers give life to live!!!!!!
“Gulshanji, you will always remain in our heart”
I am also very very grateful to the designer, Mr. Avinash Badal and the developer Sandesh Raut for the great job they have done. To come with a total different and new site , i had to go through a lot exercise like a photo session with Zahir Khan, and before this, i had loose weight.
A lot has happened since my site was under construction and i was unable to express my gratitude to all my fans and friends, my music directors, business associates….
